The Birgit Beer Trio presents ‘Parlez-moi de l’amour’ – multi-genre songs of love from across the globe and the centuries.
London-based soprano Birgit Beer grew up in Vienna, with a career that has seen her perform in the world’s greatest opera houses including Berlin, Vienna, Paris and Munich, under the likes of Solti, Domingo, Abbado and Del Monaco.
Expect classic songs from the likes of Dietrich, Piaf, Brel and Weill, and from the worlds of operetta, musical theatre, the Great American Songbook and even Hungarian csardas.
Birgit will be joined by her band: award-winning cross-genre violinist Bar Markovitch and Chris Taylor on the piano, and her friend and special guest: Wilma, the statuesque cabaret chanteuse and gender illusionist.
